Flunarizine is a drug to prevent migraine attacks. This drug is also used in the treatment and prevention of vertigo and disorders of the vestibular, which is the part of the ear that regulates body balance.

This drug works by inhibiting the entry of calcium into cells and inhibiting  histamine activity . This way of working is considered effective in preventing migraines and vertigo. Please note that this drug is not effective for relieving pain when a migraine attack is occurring.

  • Adult: 10 mg per day taken at night.
  • Elderly over 65 years: 5 mg per day consumed at night.

How to Take Flunarizine Properly

Flunarizine can be taken before or after meals. It is advisable to take flunarizine at night. Try to take the drug at the same time every day.
