Kiranti

Kiranti is a herbal product that is useful for relieving menstrual pain and rheumatic pain. Kiranti has three product variants that are sold in the market, namely Kiranti Sehat Coming Month Original, Kiranti Sehat Coming Bulan Orange, and Kiranti Pegal Linu Honey Ginger.

Kiranti contains a combination of various natural herbal ingredients, such as turmeric, ginger, kencur, tamarind, cinnamon, guarana, pandan, and palm sugar. The combination of these ingredients is believed to be able to overcome menstrual pain, launch menstruation, refresh the body, and eliminate bad body odor.

In addition to relieving menstrual pain, Kiranti Pegal Linu is also efficacious for relieving joint pain and warming the body.

Kiranti is packaged in bottled drinks. There are three variants of Kiranti products sold in Indonesia, namely:

1. Healthy Kiranti Menstrual Original

Kiranti Sehat Comes Bulan with original flavor contains 30 grams of turmeric, 6 grams of tamarind, 2.5 grams of palm sugar, 2 grams of kencur, 0.8 grams of ginger, 0.3 grams of pandan, 0.23 grams of guarana, 0.1 grams cinnamon, and water. Kiranti can be consumed 3 days before to 3 days after menstruation.

2. Healthy Kiranti Comes in the Orange Month

Kiranti Sehat Comes Bulan with orange flavor contains 18.5 grams of orange concentrate, 12 grams of turmeric, 2.5 grams of kencur, 2 grams of palm sugar, 0.8 grams of ginger, 0.25 grams of curcumin, 0.23 grams of guarana, 0. 1 gram of cinnamon, 0.1 gram of tamarind, and water.

3. Kiranti Pegal Linu Honey Ginger

Kiranti Pegal Linu with ginger honey flavor contains 10 grams of ginger, 7.5 grams of palm sugar, 6 grams of turmeric, 5.5 grams of honey, 1.4 grams of tamarind, 1 gram of kencur, 0.45 grams of cinnamon, 0.23 gram guarana, 0.15 gram myristicae flos , 0.09 gram caryophylli flos , and water. Kiranti Pegal Linu can be consumed every day.

It is not yet known whether Kiranti can be absorbed into breast milk or not. If you are breastfeeding, do not use this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Warning  Before Consuming Kiranti

The following are things you need to pay attention to before consuming Kiranti:

  • Do not consume Kiranti if you are allergic to the ingredients of this herbal product.
  • Consult your doctor about using Kiranti if you are currently taking certain medications, supplements or herbal products.
  • Consult your doctor about using Kiranti if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy.
  • Kiranti contains a combination of herbal ingredients, one of which is turmeric. Consult your doctor about using Kiranti if you have diabetes , liver disease, blood disorders , gallbladder disease, iron deficiency, GERD , or breast cancer .
  • Tell your doctor that you are taking Kiranti if you are planning to have surgery, including dental surgery.
  • Immediately see a doctor if you experience an allergic drug reaction or overdose after taking Kiranti.

Dosage and Rules for Use Kiranti 

In general, Kiranti can be consumed regularly 1–2 bottles per day, from 3 days before menstruation to 3 days after menstruation. If you have certain medical conditions, first consult with your doctor to find out the dosage and duration of use that suits your condition.

How to Consume Kiranti Properly

Follow the doctor 's recommendations and read the information printed on the drug packaging before consuming Kiranti. Do not add or reduce your dose without consulting your doctor first.

Before consuming Kiranti, don't forget to shake the medicine before taking it so that all the ingredients can be mixed evenly when consumed.

To reduce menstrual pain and make menstruation more regular, you are advised to adopt a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly, get enough sleep and rest, and manage stress well.

The turmeric content in Kiranti is thought to increase the risk of bruising or bleeding if taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs .

Apart from the drug interactions mentioned above, it is not yet known what other interaction effects can occur when Kiranti is used with other drugs, supplements or herbal products. It's best to consult your doctor first if you want to take Kiranti with any medicine, supplement, or herbal product.

Side Effects and Dangers of Kiranti

If consumed according to the rules of use and the recommended dosage, Kiranti is generally safe. However, in some people, the turmeric content in Kiranti can cause side effects in the form of dizziness , nausea, stomach pain , or diarrhea.
