Perpanel

Perpanel

Perampanel is a drug to treat and prevent seizures in epilepsy patients. Perampanel can be used as a single therapy or in combination with other drugs. This medicine should only be used with a doctor's prescription.

Perampanel works by inhibiting glutamate, which is a natural chemical that functions to stimulate the flow of electrical impulses in the brain. The workings of perampanel will reduce excessive electrical activity in the brain so that seizures can stop or be prevented.

It should be noted that perampanel cannot cure epilepsy , but only prevents and controls seizures. Therefore, this drug needs to be consumed regularly in the long term.
