Thrombophob is useful for dealing with bruises or blood clots under the skin due to injury or inflammation of the veins that are located close to the skin ( superficial phlebitis ).
Thrombophob contains heparin sodium. Heparin is an anticoagulant drug that works by inhibiting the action of a protein that plays a role in the blood clotting process. Thrombophob should not be used on open wounds and skin ulcers.
Thrombophobe products
There are two types of Thrombophob products available in Indonesia, namely:

Thrombophob gel contains the active substance heparin sodium as much as 20,000 IU in every 100 grams. -
Thrombophob ointment
Thrombophob ointment consists of a mixture of heparin sodium 5,000 IU and benzyl nicotinate 250 mg.

Before using this drug, you need to pay attention to the following points:
- Do not use Thrombophob if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this drug. Tell your doctor about any history of allergies you have.

Dosage and Rules for Use Thrombophob
Apply a thin layer of Thrombophob to the affected area 2–3 times a day. If you are unsure or have special health conditions, consult your doctor to get the dosage and duration according to your condition.
How to use Thrombophob correctly
Follow the doctor 's recommendations and read the information listed on the Thrombophob packaging before using it.
Apply a thin layer of Thrombophob to the bruised skin area.
If you forget to use Thrombophob, it is recommended to use it immediately if the break with the next usage schedule is not too close. If it's close, ignore it and don't double the dose.
Store Thrombophob at room temperature and avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Keep medicine out of reach of children.
Thrombophob Interactions with Other Drugs
There is no known interaction between drugs that will definitely occur if Thrombophob is used with certain drugs, supplements or herbal products.
However, the heparin contained in this product when used with other drugs can cause interactions in the form of increased anticoagulant effects when used with blood-thinning drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ( NSAIDs ).
Tell your doctor if you plan to use Thromnophob with any medications, supplements, or herbal products, to prevent unwanted drug-to-drug interactions.
Thrombophob Side Effects and Dangers
If used according to the existing rules of use, this product rarely causes side effects. However, stop using it and see a doctor immediately if the bruise does not improve, skin irritation occurs, or a drug allergic reaction occurs after using Thrombophob.
