Description
Kloderma 0.05% Ointment is a topical preparation in the form of an ointment containing Clobetasol Propional 0.05%. This medication is used for short-term treatment only for severe inflammatory skin disorders such as recalcitrant eczema unresponsive to less potent corticosteroids, psoriasis.
General Indication

Composition
Clobetasol propionate 0.05%
Dose
Apply 1-2 times a day, no more than 50 g applied per week. Up to a maximum of 4 weeks.

Contra Indication
Untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin lesions, rosacea (acne rosacea) and perioral dermatitis, strong corticosteroids are contraindicated for widespread plaque psoriasis.
Attention
Avoid long-term use of topical corticosteroids on the face because they can leave scars that don't go away (and keep them away from the eyes). In children avoid long-term use and use of strong or very strong corticosteroids should be under the supervision of a specialist. A strong warning is also given to dermatoses in infants including diaper rash, treatment should be limited to 5-7 days. The use of strong and very strong corticosteroids in psoriasis can lead to relapse of the disease, the prevalence of pustular psoriasis and local and systemic toxicity. Pregnancy category: Category C: Possibly at risk. Drugs should be used with caution if the benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. Animal studies have shown a risk to the fetus and there have been no direct studies in pregnant women. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding.
Side effects
The use of drugs generally has certain side effects and according to each individual. If there are excessive and dangerous side effects, please consult a medical professional. Side effects that may occur in the use of the drug are: Spread and worsening of infection that is not treated. Thinning of the skin that does not necessarily recover after treatment is discontinued because the original structure may not return. Persistent atrophic striae. Contact dermatitis. Perioral dermatitis. Acne, worsening of acne or rosacea. Mild depigmentation, which may be temporary but may persist as white patches. Hypertrichosis.
